Soul Sunday, hosted by Debra James Tucker, features Paisha Thomas and her band honoring Mavis Staples. Inspired by Staples' blend of sacred and secular music, Paisha explores gospel, soul, funk, and more while making an impact in Ohio through projects like Say it Loud Columbus.
Debra James Tucker, a versatile vocalist, blends jazz, gospel, and classical influences. Her new album, Voices, reimagines early black church music. An award-winning performer and educator, she has taught at Denison University and worked with youth arts programs.
